El Nino Blog

I would name the current El Cornhuskers Of Uh Nebraska.

My island would be on the warmer end because the El Cornhuskers Of Uh Nebraska is going east and my island is on the west side. The major current that is going to be by my island will be the North Pacific Current.

The winds would reverse because of the El Cornhuskers Of Uh Nebraska. With that the temperature would get colder because of the reverse winds and the change in temperature.

There would be down-welling because the winds are blowing the water towards my island witch will then cause the water to "pile" up on my island witch will cause down-welling.

It would drop the temperature of the water.

Ocean Currents Worksheet Blog

The ocean circulation pattern on my island is caused because of the current that approaches my island and there is another current that comes in the opposite direction and they collide with each other and that causes to other wave currents to spread out in opposite directions.
The water temperature that is going to approach my island is going to be cold. The reason for that is because the current that comes to my island comes form the North Pole. Therefore the temperature would be cold. The climate on my island will be relatively cold because of the ocean current that approaches my island. So just because of the one current that comes from the North Pole my temperature will be cold.

Atmosphere And Winds

The air would be rising at 60 degrees because air from the North Pole is pushing down on the air from the 60 degrees North. Therefore the air is pushed out. After the air is pushed out, the air is then forced out and around to form the circular convection.
The direction of the surface winds are determined when the winds change directions. When the winds change directions this causes that air to be pushed down towards the equator. Once it reaches the equator the air will just circulate because of the directions of the winds form the other parts will all come to the equator.

Blog Stalking Megan

Blog Stalking Ashley

I picked Ashley's blog to follow because it has talked about everything that we have learned in the trimester in the ocean science class. And because the blog just looks really cool, although the whole vampires thing really scares me. Cause of that whole twilight thing. And when i was a kid i was light terrified of vampires. So ya.... But the way that you set up the blog Ashley is like really cool.

what if blog

The statement that the questions will be based on is: The moon is 2x more massive. in other words it is twice as heavy.
The high tides would be higher because if the moon is twice the size and is more massive it will have more gravitational pull. Therefore it will pull the waves higher. The high tides and the low tides would occur more because f the gravitaional pull. They would prolly occur every 6 hours. And for the spring tides and the neap tides. I would say that they would happen every two weeks. Just so that they can change with the conditions of the weather.
